Crusty, soft centered and wonderfully full of seasoned flavors with a touch of cheese.
This bread goes great with Italian dishes, fruit spreads or just with a healthy spread of butter.
I used quick rise yeast today with my bread maker so it was ready to eat in just over an hour.

- This bread has a nice background of Spinach and herbs but it still pares well with fruit. Like my Kumquat Pomegranate Marmalade:

Is bread one of your favorite things? Any kinds in particular you crave?
Wow... this looks wonderful!! I was looking for something to do with the Spelt flour I bought! Bet is smells wonderful too! I don't have a bread machine though... think I'll give it a try the old way ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks, bread always smells so good but this one really was great with all the seasonings built in to the dough. The crust was just tough enough and the center spongy so it worked perfectly with our spaghetti dinner tonight. Be sure and write back how it worked out in the oven (mine's still broken) cause I wasn't sure what to say about bake times and all.
